Company Launch
19/04/2019
Having worked within the printing industry for over 17 years respectively company directors Alex and Christian took the plunge to work for themselves launching Ink Experts in late April 2019.
Early expansion – our first unit
01/11/2019
Within the first 6 months of trading Ink Experts ltd had outgrown its operational origins in a family members garage and the need for more storage was required. November 2019 saw the move to our first unit, a 1,500sq ft industrial unit in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton.
Eco-friendly packaging and waste reduction
01/11/2019
Wanting to do our small part to reduce our carbon footprint Ink Experts made steps to reduce the amount of new packaging materials we used for shipping. Our aim to use 95% recycled packaging materials and void fill is something we continue to work towards.
Ink Experts Heat Press Range Launched

August 2021 saw the launch of Ink Experts branded heat press machines. Finished in our signature hot pink magenta our heat press machines made a massive impact within the market and saw a strong following from our loyal customers.
EN71-3 Safety Certification Achieved

In March 2022 our Sublinova Smart DTI inks passed EN71-3 safety certification testing ensuring our inks were safe for use on children’s toys and clothing. Along with other safety certification such as OEKO-TEX and REACH this ensured our inks were as safe as possible.
Inktec Europe Certified Partnership

April 2022 saw Ink Experts ltd become a certified partner for Inktec Europe. Inktec Europe (Inktec Korea) are manufacturers of some of the finest inkjet inks in the world. Their Sublinova Smart DTI sublimation inks are the backbone of our business providing amazing results with our printers every time!
Printware and Promotion 2023
24/02/2023
February 2023 saw our first trade show event at the Printware and Promotion show at the NEC Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. We showcased alongside Inktec Europe for their ‘Ask the Experts’ campaign.
DTF Direct To Film was launched

Direct to film (DTF) printing was launched in May 2023 – being at the forefront of printing advances this amazing printing method was a gamechanger for the garment printing industry allowing for full colour and white transfer images to be used on any material and any colour. Something that was impossible prior!
UV DTF research and development
01/10/2023
Following on from the massive success of DTF direct to film printing. Ink Experts ltd kept ahead of the curve with new printing techniques and begin research and development into UV DTF – a film transfer print that can be applied to any smooth rigid surface. UV DTF makes customisation / personalisation of almost any product possible; this will be another gamechanger to the industry!
Further expansion – our second unit

Having resided in our first unit for 4 years Ink Experts found ourselves in need of a little more leg room. An opportunity to obtain a larger unit on the same industrial estate was a no brainer for ease of a business move whilst giving us the extra capacity we required. Our new 2,500sq ft unit premises has storage for over 160 pallets!
New improved tumbler heat press

December 2023 saw the launch of our new, improved V2 tumbler heat press machine. Our earlier V1 machine has been a massive success, the improved unit kept our original signature colour scheme and featured improved control panel, heat regulator, adjustable temperature scale (C/F) and temperature calibration.
Christmas Party 2023

After a fairly stressful year with the various issues (moving unit, import shipping delays and stock shortages) we treated our staff to a Christmas party in Dublin, Ireland as a thank you for their commitment and efforts during the year! Not sure how we will top that in 2024!
New improved ‘Style’ 120gsm Dye Sublimation paper

April 2024 saw the launch of our new, improved ‘Style’ 120gsm dye sublimation paper. ‘Style’ dye sublimation paper is our longest serving transfer paper, the improved media features a watermarked backing for ease of use, increased ink release and an anti-slip coating. Selling 1.8 million A4 sheets a year this media is and continues to be one of our best selling product lines!
